This video captures highlights from the South Eastern Sydney Medicare Local (SESML) Rethinking Mental Health forum.
The forum took place in the heart of Brighton-Le-Sands, Sydney on 25th October 2014.
‘Rethinking Mental Health’ focused on learning and practical skills for General Practitioners and other health workers.
Speakers explored new innovations in mental health and best practice through a Recovery based approach.
NSW Deputy Mental Health Commissioner Bradley Foxlewin made the keynote speech. He spoke very honestly about his own life and mental illness. I personally found it very reassuring to know that someone with such an intimate knowledge of mental health is in his position of power.
Even though I was there to work and capture the event for my client, SESML, I felt inspired by a lot of the material I heard.
The forum was presented by SESML and Partners in Recovery.
The video is a condensed version of the original which you can watch here.
A Backyard Films & Video production.
